New Restaurant on Pine Ave- Federal Bar

I wanted to share with you a great experience at a new Restaurant we tried Saturday night. The Federal Bar which was formally the Madison restaurant (used to be a Bank) opened up almost a year ago downtown LB on Pine Ave. We have been wanting to try it for a few months but seem to never make our way downtown. My birthday dinner was Saturday night and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to try this hot spot out. When I called to make a reservation for 26 people they didn't even laugh. They politely took the reservation as if 26 people on a saturday night was no big deal. Most other restaurants wanted me to do a banquet menu...HA! This was supposed to be in easy breezy casual dinner...we did not want a banquet formal feel. Federal Bar did a great job at accommodating our large party. They have an eclectic menu of chicken and waffles down to a rib eye. I enjoyed the brussels sprout salad and roasted salmon which was delicious. The price point was really affordable too! The best part is if you want to enjoy a little dancing after dinner you make your way to the "Vault" downstairs where there is a D.J. There is also a "Parlor" underground that is more of a speakeasy lounge. All you need is a password from your server to be let in to both underground areas. Its not crowded downstairs and there is plenty of room to dance and not be bumped into. My guess is the fire code doesn't allow them to have to many people that far down underground at one time. I definitely recommend this place for a fun night out or a celebration.
